Free Will Is Nothing More Than An Illusion
Remember in the Matrix movies, when the Mirovingian made his speech in front of Neo? Causality – we are slaves to it – cause and effect. Well, every behavior has a cause – but people don’t question the “why” anymore – and the why is psychology – philosophy.
Jonathan Edwards wrote Freedom Of The Will some 250 years ago. And in that book he stated that we believe we have free will because we know about our behaviors – but not their causes. This isn’t new science – but 250 years later – people still aren’t listening.
Psychology is the study of the mind and of behaviors – and they have to be treated separately and independently. Why? Your mind doesn’t control your behaviors – it can only influence those behaviors. And your free will is in your mind.
Your brains only job is to keep you alive – to get you your positive reinforcements. Food, water, shelter, sex etc – and of fight and flight in defense of your life. Think I’m wrong? Your mind is always playing catch up. Don’t believe me?
Ever have the hair stand on the back of your neck? Danger imminent? Could you control those hairs standing up? What is your mind doing – trying to figure out what your brain is up to?
People seriously need to wake up. It’s your belief in free will that makes it so easy to manipulate and control the human race.
