Behavioral Euthanasia should not be happening at all – but yet – millions of dog are dead as a result. Why? And who is doing all the killing of the dogs? Vets of course – but heavily recommended by trainers and behaviorists alike. Imagine, millions of dogs have been killed by a group of people that can’t even define the word behavior – but they claim to be experts in it?
Once you understand what a behavior is? So what is a behavior?
It’s your body’s response to something in the environment – controlled by your brain – not your mind. In the case of aggression and reactivity – fight and flight – it’s an emotional response to something negative in the environment. But kill the dog for a natural behavior that human beings suffer. What makes you show aggression? Could it be cause you’re angry? What pissed you off? And if the anger didn’t exist – would the aggression happen?
What causes you to be reactive? You suffer the emotion called fear? Anxiety? And your brain takes over – and reactive behaviors are the result.
It’s no different for dogs – but we are killing them for a natural behavior that we share. Why? Can we please put a stop to this nonsense?
