Radical Behaviorism For Dog Aggression And Reactivity is a behavioral psychology group that was set up a couple of years ago and has grown to near 5000 members. With a primary goal of teaching basic behavioral science to owners so they can help understand themselves – and their dog… And anonymous posting is on – nobody need know who you are.
We ask that people follow a few simple rules, and we will change your life. What are these rules?
1. No toxicity. Being nice is not that hard. Being wrong isn’t either. Other groups are a gong show, don’t bring it here. If you dare come to this group and tell another dog owner to euthanize their dog? You won’t be in the group long… Bullying behaviors are not tolerated – this is about the dog – not you.
2. No ideologies – the group is about psychology, dogs and their owners. Not how you feel. Leave it at the door.
3. Dog training doesn’t belong in the group – it’s not allowed to be pushed. There are hundreds, if not thousands of dog training venues that you would be best suited in. Just want one little quiet spot where owners can come and talk about their dog without all the noise.
4. We ask members to stop any and all dog training – at least temporarily. We want to talk about what’s causing your dogs behaviors – not about punishing and suppressing behaviors. That doesn’t work. This requires an open mind and honest conversation – questions and answers. And we want to know what you really want from your dog. Your dog is not my dog – what do you want from your dog? I want no opinion on the outcome of what your dog should be – and nor do I deserve one. Tell us your goals, and we will do our best to show you how to get there.
