And if dog owners would read 2 books – or even partial books – you would understand that all of dog training is a money racket mean to make you afraid of your dog – and extort you for money. What you know as IGP dog training has taken over everything dog – and they dragged all the tools of IGP – the treats, prongs, ecollars, muzzles, toys, crates etc into the behavior ring where they do not belong. But these trainers convinced you your dog needs punishment.
Go ask any dog trainer – Who created the quadrants of dog training? They will say B.F Skinner – but this is a blatant lie and this website is going to prove it. Skinner himself openly opposed punishment – and in his book “About Behaviorism” he said – Punishing contingincies are just the reverse of reinforcing. It only serves to create weakness, fear, escape. So why are dog trainers blaming Skinner for the Punishment quadrants? Because the punishment quadrants are make up – a fairy tale.
According to the science of behavioral psychology – punishment doesn’t work. So why are dog trainers constantly pushing punishment? Just things that make you go hrmmm.
The first book is from Konrad Most – the man hailed as the father of IGP dog training – formerly known as Schutzhund. Read the first few paragraphs of Chapter 2 – it details what you know as the real quadrants of dog training. What are the real quadrants of dog training? Primary Inducement, Secondary Inducement, Primary Compulsive Inducements, Secondary Compulsive Inducements.

In Konrad’s own words – here’s your reward and punishment.
THE contrasted feelings of what is pleasant or unpleasant are, of course, as
definite and directive of canine behaviour as are the rewards and punishments
obtained as a result of human conduct. Cakes and the stick, enticement and
menace, are expedients used in both cases to induce the desired attitude.
Positive Punishment? That’s made up to fool you – it’s actually Primary Compulsive Inducements. That’s why so called Balanced dog training is also known as Compulsive based dog training. Make sense? Again in Konrad’s own words… But they blame Skinner? This isn’t Skinner – it’s a lie.
With primary compulsive inducements the intermediary is the
sense of touch. We are here concerned, in the first place, with mechanical
operations, graded from weak to strong, in the form of pulls, pressure, jerks,
thrusts and heaves, and in the second place with the infliction of pain, from
slight to intense.
Still don’t want to believe it? Here is more from Konrad Most. If the e-collar existed at the time of writing – it would be mentioned. And funny how he mentions the “spike” collar – AKA the prong collar. Herm Sprenger was in the mix too already. Hrmmm? But blame Skinner right? No, please stop this nonsense.
Implements to be used in the case of primary compulsive inducements are the
collar, the choke collar, and the spiked collar,1 in combination with the lead.
There is also the switch, which can and should be used with a lightning flick of
the wrist.
Positive Reinforcement trainers they say? Noooo, Primary Inducement trainers. People like Zak George are lying blatantly to you – and they know it. Go ask Zak who created the Quadrants – and he will lay out B.F Skinner – but he knows he’s pushing Konrad. People like Zak are pushing one quadrant of IGP dog training – primary inducement. And WHEN it fails, you’re off to balanaced dog training and are going to take the inducements with you – and start using the 4 quadrants.
What’s called Positive Reinforcement is the hook to get you into dog training – its the bread and butter for IGP/Schutzhund. Everyone starts off in Positive Reinforcement cause it’s the good one right? Well that is a lie too. Start off with a bribe called treats – and guaranteed – you will end up using a prong or e-collar.
