False Advertising In Dog Training

Everything psychology has been redefined – with truly devastating results… Lets get into some psychology. Understand something very clearly – behavioral psychology doesn’t care about behaviors – it’s only concerned with what’s causing the behaviors. so why are trainers totally focused on the behaviors – but yelling psychology?

Dog trainers and professionals claiming to be using Positive Reinforcement, Negative Reinforcement and Operant Conditioning are simply using false advertising. They are calling themselves experts in behavior and they are hiding behind that false advertising – scared at this point that you are going to find this out.

Dare I dip a toe into feminism and talk about false advertising? And the trail of destruction left in its’ wake. Women are all over the internet – fake hair, fake eyelashes and brows, fake lips, fake eyes, fake boobs, and please – someone tell me which man said that big fake ass is something that men want? Then they turn on the beauty filters – and scream – where are all the real men? Women are creating this fake avatar of themselves as a result – are losing the real person behind the mask. Who is the person behind the mask? Is there a person behind the mask? It’s all false advertising – they created a fake beauty standard – and that’s what young girls are growing up with. They are trying to achieve a fake beauty standard that isn’t possible. And the ramifications? If I spoke of that, I’m sure a collective of women would kick my arse. But the Psychology behind it all – it’s psychological warfare on women – but people simply don’t notice it. Feminism has destroyed women.

Dog training is all false advertising as well. They have redefined psychology itself – into a system of reward and punishment.

Operant Conditioning. Dog trainers will define it as a method of behavior modification using reward and punishment – the real quadrants of dog training. They have redefined “Primary Inducements” to “Positive Reinforcement” – and let me tell you – Positive Reinforcement isn’t have a treat. They redefined “Primary Compulsive Inducements” and created a term called “Positive Punishment” to blame B.F Skinner – the father of Operant Conditioning. “Primary Compulsive Inducements” – there’s your tool use – the prong, the e-collar, chokes, muzzles, crates etc – none of this is Skinner – and it has nothing to do with psychology.

Blaming B.F Skinner is the false advertising – and dog owners don’t realize it. And these so-called “experts” are using the term based on false advertising. And the trail of destruction left in its wake is immeasurable as a result. Trillions of dollars in damages. Millions of dead dogs. How many people have had their lives destroyed as a result of dog training? Had their finances drained due to dog training? How many people have put a dog down because some idiot that couldn’t define the word behavior told them to?

I’m going to give you the real definitions – let you the reader decide which one makes sense?

Operant conditioning dictates the human that you have become. It’s the culmination of all your lifes events good and bad – everything that makes you “you”. When you meet anything for the first time – you will have a response to it. It will be of positive consequence – and become 1: something that you want to do again or 2: become indifferent to it – it’s not something of concern. Or that new thing becomes of Negative Consequence – that new thing is scary and you’re not sure so lets avoid it. In the face of anything new – only 1 of 3 things are going to happen. You either fight, flight, or become indifferent to it. Your first impression and/or reaction to it becomes part of your Operant Conditioning – and dictates your response to interacting with that thing again.

Positive Reinforcement isn’t have a treat – it’s about survival itself. As Skinner put it – Escape From Harm. What are the primary things that can harm our species? Lack of food, lack of water, lack of shelter – lack of sex to keep the species alive.

Negative Reinforcements generate behaviors – what behaviors you ask? Lets put it all together – it’s simple.

Positive Reinforcement removes Negative Reinforcement. Negative Reinforcement removes Positive Reinforcement. They are Yin and Yang – the existence of one is dependent on the other.

Hunger is a negative reinforcement – it’s going to generate a fight response – go find food to eat – that’s your positive reinforcement. Your Positive Reinforcement is a fully belly. Get thirsty – that’s a Negative Reinforcement – your Positive Reinforcement is to get a drink of water – remove the Negative Reinforcement. Step outside and it’s cold – that’s a Negative Reinforcement – your Positive Reinforcement is to get warm – remove the Negative Reinforcement – put on a coat or go back inside. Someone threatens your life – that’s a Negative Reinforcement that will generate the response of fight or flight. Either fight for your life through the use of aggression – or flight for your life – run away. It’s no different for the dog – but we are killing the dog due to our own ignorance.

See the false advertising? Do you see my issue with all this? Robert Cabral is selling t-shirts with the slogan “Science Has No Place In Dog Training” – but welcome to the science that he doesn’t want in dog training.

Primary Inducements are bribes – you are trying to induce your dog to do something for you for a piece of food. This is called Primary Inducement training – but they convinced you that it’s Positive Reinforcement. There is no such thing as a Positive Reinforcement trainer – they are Primary Inducement trainers pushing one Quadrant of IGP dog training. Positive Reinforcement is not a method – it’s not a technique – nor does it come out of a bag.

Now – lets put the entire scam together – and see if it makes sense?

Everyone starts off in “Positive Reinforcement” cause hey – it’s the good one right? You don’t realize that it’s a system based solely on bribery and punishment that was never meant to work on behaviors in the first place. When the Primary Inducements fail – and they will – now you’re off to the other 2 quadrants – the compulsive inducements. Induce your dog to do something for you through the application of Negative Reinforcement – AKA Punishment.

What they call Positive Reinforcement is meant to suck you into a system that will suck you dry. What they call Positive Reinforcement is the bread and butter for “balanced training” – AKA Compulsion based dog training – Primary and secondary compulsive inducements.

Do you see the scam now?

And to see the psychological damage that this has done to society? Positive Reinforcement is a deep subject with a huge dark side – but all society knows as a result of dog training is “have a treat” – and on a psychological level, that scares the shit out of me.

Nice breakdown. I would love to hear what dog trainers have to say about this.

Honestly, I would love to see a response. I would love to see just one big name trainer do an expose on Konrad Most, but it’s not going to happen.
