I caught both Larry Krohn and Ivan Balabanov having a conversation over Larry’s live stream recently—looks like they are putting Robert Cabral out to pasture. Let me tell you a story about these two scam artists.
Ivan Balabanov sits on camera preaching B.F. Skinner and the quadrants of Operant Conditioning. He even stated in that same live stream, and I quote:
“It wasn’t even a moral issue for Skinner—the man openly opposed punishment.”
Then Ivan goes on to trash Skinner and punishment. But he knows this is all bullshit—and I am about to prove it.
Understand clearly. I have spoken with dog owners that have spent up to $30k on trainers, behaviorists, an vets – only to be told to kill their dog. Did they get a refund? No. Take the money and run. Any other industry – you would be in jail for fraud and extortion.
The Abysmal Truth – the IACP – 1999.
Larry Krohn said something on his live stream that dropped my jaw. He told more truth than he realizes. Stay tuned, Larry. These are your exact words, just in case you get to thinking about threatening me. Read this very carefully:
“Most people hire a trainer because they struggle with behavioral problems. And if you’re going to be honest, you have to come to the realization that the true success rate—and when I say success rate, I mean everlasting success rate where the dogs really change for the better for the rest of their lives and problems go away… I think we can all admit that it is absolutely abysmal. It’s abysmal, and people don’t want to admit it. It’s disgusting the money that dog trainers charge people for no results whatsoever. And even worse than no results, where they just destroy dogs.”
Let’s get into this part: “It’s disgusting the money that dog trainers charge people for no results whatsoever. And even worse than no results, where they just destroy dogs.”
Well, enter the scam artist Ivan Balabanov.
Again, Balabanov blames Skinner. However, I have done behavioral consults with three of Ivan’s former clients. They dropped $10,000 on a course to train behavior using IGP (Schutzhund). That is the reality of what Ivan is doing. Of course, the course didn’t work—because sports-model IGP compulsion does not belong in a rehabilitation ring. That is exactly why Ivan blames Skinner: so he can steal the “behaviorist” label for credibility when he is fundamentally unqualified.
And I’m not finished. He blames Skinner on camera, but his high-paying clients get handed a copy of a century-old manual: Colonel Konrad Most’s Training Dogs. One person held it up to the camera so I could get a picture. Do you think ivan gave a refund – no – take the money and run.
Read Larry’s quote one more time, because this is exactly what Ivan Balabanov’s framework produces: “It’s disgusting the money that dog trainers charge people for no results whatsoever. And even worse than no results, where they just destroy dogs.”
The Phony War and the Bastardization of Science
Welcome to the scam of the century. Look at the names involved in creating this phony “War in Dog Training.” It was entirely manufactured to cause division and protect market share.
- Ian Dunbar: I’m looking at you. You used to swing your quadrants around like they were the Bible. Then, when the corporate scam began, you wrote that blog post trashing “those fucking quadrants.” You took Konrad Most’s Primary Inducements—the actual original mechanical quadrants of dog training—and decided to lie, bastardize Skinner, and label it “positive reinforcement.”
- Karen Pryor, Sophia Yin, and the PP/PR Community: Most of the “positive-pure/positive-reinforcement” community are in on this exact grift. Behaviorists and veterinarians are fully locked into it.
They all push a corporate, scientific consensus they call “our science.” Well, that fraudulent scientific consensus has gotten millions of dogs killed—behaviorally euthanized by a group of certified “experts” who can’t even define the word behavior, let alone find their own ass with a map when a dog is actually redlining. And that same system that they call Applied Behavior Analysis that is getting dogs killed? That’s the same garbage that the autisim community calls Applied Behavior Analysis. And as a result – the suicide rate is sitting at 25%. That’s millions of autistics that have at least attempted behavioral euthanasia because of the same garbage that is killing dogs.
Meanwhile, Robert Cabral is out here selling T-shirts with the slogan “Science has no place in dog training.” He sits on camera as an IGP sports trainer, right alongside them, blaming Skinner for his own structural failures.
If I get my way – some of you fuckers are going to fucking prison for this scam of the century. Someone has to pay for all this destruction.
The Reckoning
I am the actual science that these frauds do not want in dog training. I call myself a radical behaviorist in representation of B.F. Skinner.
Skinner is dead. He isn’t here to defend his life’s work from being bastardized by sports-dog hustlers and corporate trainers. But now you have me to contend with—and you are not going to like me very much.
The light has been shone down the rat hole – Let’s see what comes scurrying out.
